+  I’ve considered making a website, one with features like filtering with tags or even an automated system that scans github repositories and categorizes them. The problem is that it wouldn't be much different from other tools out there like openalternative or trendshift and an automated system will always have shortcomings. The point of definitive-opensource is to be highly curated, and the current best execution of that is in a readme. I’m a busy college student and the complexities of web development seem unnecessary and an added pain for a task that can suffice, for now, as a markdown file.
